Due to the huge success of last year’s Activist Arts Festival we can confirm that the festival will run again this year on Saturday October 24th.
Last year’s festival attracted over 800 attendees with 15 organisations participating from environmental organisations to human rights groups. These stood alongside exhibits from over 26 artists and photographers, films on activism by Melbourne film makers, protest musicians, spoken word artists, an exhibit by activist photographers, and workshops ranging from dealing with racism and LGBTI to stencilling.
This year we are looking for submissions and applications from organisations and individuals interested in showcasing and informing people about your campaigns, art works, music or other activist focused activities.
