Fishycorn and Friends

Cesar Maxit

From the FaceBook page: FishyCorn dedicates it’s life to promote education around Genetically Modified foods, the environmental and social impact of the massive increase in chemicals used to grow them, and the importance of GMO labeling in the USA.

FishyCorn travels across the country to inform citizens that they have to fight for their right to know if they are eating Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).

FishyCorn was created and designed by Cesar Maxit in September 2011 for the Right 2 Know March from NYC to DC. Cesar worked with OWEL to design & paint the car that FishyCorn rides on. The original sculpture was completed for the march in 4 days thanks to the hard work of David Jackson and about a dozen volunteers from the DC51 artist collective.

Fishycorn says:
My DNA is all mixed up,
I do not have a label.
Shouldn’t we know more about
the food upon our table?
