Francisco Letelier

– Artist’s Website –
Francisco Letelier created a mural in Washington, D.C. in remembrance of his father, Chilean diplomat Orlando Letelier, who was killed in a car bombing in Washington, D.C. 40 years ago. CIA declassified documents point to the late Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet. Courtesy of American University Museum, Washington, D.C.

The mural is called Todas Las Manos (All Our Hands), words taken from a famous poem, La Muralla, which means The Wall, by Cuban poet Nicolás Guillén.160923-orlando-mural_751b999783fd3ee7019b10f14c3c4a4d-nbcnews-ux-600-700
