Kalamazoo Nonviolent Opponents of War

Peace Momma has participated in many peace marches and demonstrations. She was created by activists in the Kalamazoo Nonviolent Opponents of War about 10 years ago.

One hundred peace activists marched 1.1 mile from the gathering space to the Michigan Air National Guard. It had taken those who started at the Boeing Company headquarters in Chicago 12 days and 165 miles to get there. Through mostly sunny, moderate days as well as one very rainy day, they walked an average of 15 miles per day. Each day they were greeted by supporters who wanted to see an end to drone warfare, they were fed by donations to the cause, they were given a thumbs up along the rural highways, and they were shunned by a few, a very few.
