“The Art Of Protest” includes 24 images and a critical essay published as part of WEAD’s Inaugural “ATOMIC LEGACY ART” Issue #5 Online Magazine. Raised a “Hanford downwinder,” I chart a history of the nuclear industry over seven decades and its negative environmental impact. In my ongoing ART OF PROTEST, I call on humans to regain “consciousness” to face the real costs of nuclear power. “ATOMIC LEGACY ART Issue #5 is rich in experience, insights, and hope. From Japan, Chernobyl, and New Mexico, to regions threatened by aging nuclear plants in Florida, California and Washington, the essays reveal personal journeys, political actions, and transformative artworks and performances involving non-artist communities.”
