On April 10 at the Market Hotel in New York City, Reverend Billy and The Stop Shopping Choir joined by Fiery Eagles of Justice present The Earth Wants YOU, a musical album accompanied by a book of the same title via City Lights Publishers.
Directed by Savitri D, our radical performance community serves up an angry defense of the Earth in a powerful gospel-tinged album and motivational handbook. For the past fifteen years, the Church of Stop Shopping has spread our message from Occupy Wall Street to Monsanto’s World Headquarters to the stage at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater in New York, and out into arenas opening for Neil Young.
The Earth Wants YOU! – both album and book go public this Earth Day – April 22.
