Hong Kong Umbrella Revolution
The artist who only wants to be known as Milk said the sculpture was inspired by an occupier holding an umbrella over a police officer. He wanted to show with his statue that Hong Kong’s democracy movement was not confrontational. “I aspire for peace. It means that we care about everyone, even if ‘everyone’ is the police force,” he said.
