This project is a reflection on Quebec’s future, in the context of the neoliberal policies we are experiencing today. It draws its inspiration from the spring 2015 student strike and related social struggles. The topics I deal with here are those of the state’s withdrawal, austerity measures, the frittering away of political freedoms, and education… I invited a few researchers, journalists and activists to send me their reflections about the current political situation in Quebec. I was asking them: “Where are we headed? What kind of future is there for Quebec?” “What outrages you? What are your fears and hopes?” Using the answers I received, I made three videos in order to project them onto the walls of Quebec City’s historic Old Town. They slowly appear and disappear, superimposed on the bricks of two residential buildings and on Quebec Hill.
