Concord Big Bank Protests

Concord Big Bank Protests

Concord Activists

On Sat Sept 9 I joined community folks from across the Bay Area (from No DAPL Contra Costa–who initiated the action, Chinese Progressive Association, Sunflower Alliance and more) in Concord, CA to walk in prayer–led by Idle No More SF Bay–and engage the funders of Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) and fossil fuel pipelines. Two of the banks–B of A and Wells Fargo shut down and inside Chase Bank a sort of “teach in” was held with bank employees and customers.

September 8-9 were National #STOP ETP Days of Action–with over a dozen actions to defend indigenous rights and our water, land, air, and climate (more info at stopetp.org). ETP is the company behind the Dakota Access, Bayou Bridge, Trans-Pecos, Mariner, and Rover pipelines.
