Spring Has Sprung!
Yes it has yes it has! Or, so I hear from my friends in those winter weather-stricken places in the US. I actually am writing you from sunny Orlando, Florida where winter means little more than long sleeves and an umbrella! I won’t brag that I just ate the first banana that I ever harvested from the tree I planted a couple years ago! For me it is kinda lackluster. I just got back from 2 months in Costa Rica where fruit is literally dripping off the trees! It always take me a little readjustment to return to the temperate lands and so I am grateful for my time here in the southernmost state in the nation. I came here to be a groomsman in my only sister’s wedding. It was exciting! (Congratulations Ashley and Nicole!) My family is crazy. But… enough about me… how are YOU!? How was your winter? Beyond eating fruit and trying to figure out how to put on a tuxedo, I’ve been hard at work getting my summer tour all planned out, and its starting to come together! We have some exciting shows to announce, and I am also excited to be teaming up with Paul Rodney Turner, AKA the Food Yogi to host a summertime retreat back down in Costa Rica at one of my favorite places in the world. In my spare time last week I challenged myself with seeing what i could do in one day and so I woke up and wrote a song, recorded it, shot a video, edited it, and uploaded it all within 18 hours! I ended up producing a kinda silly video that I wasn’t sure if I was going to release to the public, but since I mentioned the bananas… I might as well!! Food Yoga Soul Music Retreat in Costa Rica!
I am excited to be teaming up with Paul Rodney Turner, the Food Yogi, to bring you all an incredible 10 day retreat in beautiful Costa Rica. Paul is a former monk and the executive director of Food For Life Global, the largest vegetarian food relief program in the world serving over 2 million hot meals daily! He is also an author and an incredible chef in his own right. We will have yoga, meditation, vegan food prep workshops, cacao ceremony, sweat lodge, kayaking, clay baths, a host of other workshops including: aromatherapy, sun gazing techniques, permaculture, and of course, MUSIC!
The retreat will be held at the incredible Punta Mona Center for Regenerative Living on the south caribbean coast of Costa Rica, and the registration fee includes most meals, accommodations, and all activities. I’m Just a Human Video (One Day Video Project!)
I would like to start by warning my fans that is definitely not a professionally produced video! It is ridiculous and silly. I wanted to challenge myself by seeing if I could write a song, record it, film and edit video, and upload it all in one day. This is the result of that! The song was inspired by people asking for my reaction to the recent political sideshow happening in the United States. ENJOY!
