The wall, now being constructed across the length of the US/Mexico border is like a knife cutting off neighbors, wildlife, indigenous people, and families. The wall is inflaming hatred and contributing to an atmosphere of vigilantism and oppression. While the US walls itself off from the world in the name of “security” what is it sacrificing? What is the price of this imprisonment? What is at the root of this fear based policy of building walls. Thirty artists take a look at such questions and respond with imagery from a variety of viewpoints. This touring exhibition was launched in Berkeley, 2011.
Those who support this idiotic wall are also bigoted, racist, fascist supporters of ALL walls…such as the disgusting wall in Palestine…and the now non-existent wall that separated East Berlin from West Berlin and West Germany. WALLS DON’T WORK!!! They never have and they never will. Look at the Great Wall of China. Do you think it stopped all the lines of Khans and their hordes from crossing this so-called wall while generation upon generation crossed over back and forth doing trade and other commerce? The simple answer is a resounding NO! It is so incredibly embarrassing to me and an immense insult that my socially retarded country and its socially retarded leaders not only support the building of this wall but support it because they lack vision, they lack understanding of human nature…they lack intelligence…they lack compassion…they lack empathy…they lack humanity…they lack love for their fellow human beings. And then top that off with the fact that almost all of them will claim to be Christians. Please…don’t make me laugh! Most politicians who claim to believe in some form of Christianity when they pose in front of the cameras or their socially retarded constituents…so they can pull in those votes baby! Yeah!
All of it is pure, disgusting bullshit. I have lived in Mexico…I’ve traveled in Mexico…not nearly as much as I would have liked and yes, it was a long time ago…1982? And everyone I met were the most gracious, kind, friendly and sharing people. Yes, even then, Mexico still had that air of it being the Wild, Wild West. I DID run into a few folks who I could say were dangerous people. But I walked out of that country unscathed and still loving it, it’s ancient cultures and it’s ancient and amazing people.
The U.S. Wall of Apartheid is an embarrassing travesty and is very, very bad for business…bad for people and bad for animals and the eco-system. I say: “SHAME ON MY GOVERNMENT AND THE GREEDY CONTRACTORS WHO ARE BUILDING THE WALL/WALLS. We live more and more under a police state…just like the one I lived under when I lived in Mexico in the early 1980’s. Armored police vehicles? Really? Maybe they WANT a war. Who knows? Maybe they WANT to create a fascist Nazi state. The Bush family ARE Nazis…that is a proven fact. If you don’t or didn’t know that…then you just have to do some reading and research.
Richard B. “The DICK” Cheney and the Bush family as well as all of their nefarious advisers and councilors should all have been prosecuted for their crimes against the Iraqi and Afghani peoples and for their crimes against the American people for their knowledge and possible conspiracy to commit murder, mayhem, chaos and terror against our country and its constitution. These criminals should all have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law…and then perhaps even publicly executed.
Sadly, that has never come to pass and these greedy, nasty, violent, arrogant, ignorant and vicious thugs and their War Mongering, War Profiteering cabals of corporations that make up the Military Industrial Complex have walked away even more filthy rich than they already were.
May they all rot in hell. Even though I do not believe in hell…I hope they suffer by being reincarnated in any number of countries they have devastated and rendered impudent. May they know what crimes they have committed and may they relive over and over in great detail their lives of GREED until they implode on a spiritual level. For they do not suffer in this life…no…they do not.
