Please join us for a non-violent vigil for gun control .Please wear ORANGE in solidarity with students, bring signs and banners, and stand silently with us from 4 to 5 PM, and sing with us from 5 to 6 PM. There may also be some quiet protest drama. We will be protesting the “Friends of NRA Fundraising Event” which is scheduled to take place at our family friendly fairgrounds on this date. The NRA event will include the auction/raffling of guns,”lots of GUNS!!!!” according to their flyer.
If you are concerned or appalled that this type of event is being supported by our county fairgrounds at this time of mass shootings in our country, please join us on Saturday, April 14th and speak out for gun control. Though the majority of NRA members are in favor of gun control measures, the NRA leadership does not represent their membership. Now is the time to be seen on this issue.
