Call for Submissions: “We All Live in Bhopal”

For the San Francisco Bay Area Summit marking the 30th anniversary

of the Bhopal Gas Disaster

Call for Art Submissions related to the theme, “We All Live in Bhopal,”
to be exhibited Dec 2-7 at San Francisco Bay Area event of the same name commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Union Carbide Gas Disaster in Bhopal, India.

What and where is your Bhopal?

Deadline for submissions: September 1.
We will respond whether we will be able to display your Art by September 15.
Art must arrive in San Francisco by November 1.

All over the world, individuals are fighting battles against corporate evasion of responsibility and prioritization of profit over human and environmental safety. We would like to hear your stories expressed through your art.
Please feel free to understand and realize our theme however it inspires you.

Your art will be exhibited throughout the week of the event, and can include Photography and Visual Media, Performance Art, Video, Musical Recording, Poetry, Writing & Stories.

There will be size and length limitations.
Up to 3 entries per person.

Illustration: This mural was created by the participants of the 2011 TAP India Pilot Project Program under the creative direction of visual artist Jamez Townsend. The mural depicts the past, present and future of the Bhopal Gas Disaster as seen through the eyes of the participants. It is both a reflection, and constructive reminder of the horrors that took place that night. Read more about the art here.
